Double glazing and conservatory tips.

* Most double glazing companies work on commission. When selling, they will start off with a hugh proffit margin with the hope that you have not done your research. They will come to your property with a contract, and will earn money the minute you sign on the dotted line.

What to avoid:

* Get a couple of prices.

* Do not automatically go for the cheapest price. There are companies that will use very cheap materials and will not guarentee their work, or are hard to chase when you do have a problem.

*The decision is yours, do not sign a contract unless you are completly happy, and know the product that you will be getting.

*Don't ever sign anything on the day. If you feel comfortable and wish to sign on the day, you do have a mandatory 7 working day cooling off period, where the contract can be terminated.
